Late To The Chetry-versy

I'll admit, I had not really been following the developments with Fox & Friends on non-Chetry mornings and in Kiran-less hours, but I had of course noticed that E.D. Hill had moved to the later hours of the morning.

Others noticing this would be the far-less-pro-Fox-than-I website Newshounds, which devotes all of its coverage the awesome Fox News Channel, which of course they think is less than awesome. Which is actually kind of fun to read. So:

On Friday, September 22nd, FOX News Channel issued a perfunctory press release, stating that E. D. Hill would "anchor FOX News Live from 10 AM-12PM/EST beginning Monday, September 25th." ... There was absolutely no warning of this move. Friday's show proceeded as usual. Neither Steve Doocy nor Brian Kilmeade made any mention of the fact that Gretchen Carlson will take over Hill's responsibilities. Hill herself showed no sign that she even knew she was being replaced.

Which is interesting, I guess, though I'm sure there's a lot less to it than Newshounds would maeke it out to be. And yet, I share at least some of their concern. I mean, some concern. I AM concerned -- Why, why, why, why was Kieran Chetry not bumped up to the weekday broadcast.

Gretchen Carlson? She's okay. I wouldn't kick her out of bed for e ating crackers. But who would you rather wake up to with?

You know? Nothing against Ms. Carlson. But she IS up against the best.

Fox News, please come to your senses! Promote Kiran Chetry to the real deal Fox & Friends! Some of us have been waiting forever. Don't make us wait any longer.
